A tall, thin mulatto girl walks down the street. She's pauses

It's nearly summer, and there are actually a few tourists out
at Coney, and a couple adventurous souls even daring to swim.
A couple arcades are open.
Libby is outside the Freak Show, painting some trim of the building a bright yellow. She doesn't see the girl.

The girl reads and re-reads the poster with great interest. She

looks at her for a long while and figits with her dress. After
many stops and starts, the girl finally approaches her.
"Exscuse me, mamn?"

Unluckily, they appear just a few feet away from a mother bear and her two cubs. Mama bear, who was foraging or something, stands on her hind legs and growls at the three intruders.
