Driving down the wet road, Alex in the
back seat felt very uncomtable, for the fact his ex girlfriend
was up front next to her new rich, and handsome boyfriend, Hugo
McHenry.
He looked toward the road, woundering, why he was so stupid to
get in this kind of situation, why, it olny ment trouble.
Stella turned her gaze to the back.
"So do you know any places to eat?"
Alex smirked, knowing he was going to
be sarcassick again.
"Nathans."

Alex whispers under his breathe.
"I thought hotdogs were food?"
"Well thank you for paying, I kinda buried all my money in
a coffee can, and gave the other to My Auntie."
Stella turned around to look at him.
"I thought you said all your family was killed in a fire!"
Alex totally forgot that he never told
Stella anything that happen to him in the past month.
He thens begins telling her how the band broke up, he got kicked
out of his apartment, then hit by a car.
Then he told about finding his Aunt Leslie, and how he lives with
her now.
But he mentions nothing about the heir of money that he had recieved.
He gave half the Money to Leslie, for all he knew, she put her share in the bank, as for him, he buried his million in a spot only he would know.
"Well Alex, I can't believe you got hit by a car!"Stella's eyes narrowed as she leaned back in the seat. "Thats sad that the band spilt up, you were so great at playing..."
Alex caught up the nerve to speak to
Hugo.
"so, Hugo, what do you do for a living, to be all rich n stuff
like that?"
Alex crossed his legs, and leaned back,as he looked toward the
roof of the car.

the cook would fix something simple for us. Besides, some of us

pointedly at Alex.

Stella raised an eyebrow. Her expresstion was calm, knowing Hugo was probally mad at her, and she best stay on cool grounds for the rest of the day.

Stella just laughted under her breathe.
"Why come you never told me you had wings?"
Alex looked down, then out the window,
feeling a little car sick.
"Isn't it freaky enough knowing that I can kill both of you
with a thought of hitting you with lightning, that you wanted
me to also tell you I had wings?" Alex stopped. "I don't
like having powers, so I don't care to share them if I have to."
Stella got very quite.

Hugo is a bit frightened at the deadly power comment, but he masks it well, since he's had a clue about Alex's talents for quite some time now. He speaks quietly. "Perhaps a scientist could figure out a way to take your powers from you, if they bother you that much."

Stella tilts her head to look at Hugo.
"But Alex, aren't you every affarid that one day you might
snap, and kill someone? Or hurt someone you love?" Stella
folded her hands on her lap. "Were not trying to hurt you

Alex began to think, what happen if he couldn't controll his powers?
He didn't want to see more death, he still feel the guilt of killing
his family, even if it was an accident.
But God wouldn't give him something he couldn't control, now he
knew, he knew never to drink, take medicine, or anything that
would cause him not to think straight.
But what was it like, to be normal.
Alex's flesh was weak.
What would it be like to be normal, to grow up in a family where
his father would of loved him, where they would of been alive.
Maybe, he would just see, maybe he would just see how the sciencetist
work.
"So, ummm...once they take that
power from you, what do they do with it?"
Alex looked out the window.
Stella bit her tougue, looking over at
Hugo.

But if there are, indeed, many people like you out there, with dangerous abilities..." He shakes his head slightly. "I'm sure the right people could figure out a way to do it in a matter of months, perhaps weeks. After all, the purpose of science is to fix people when there's something wrong with them, right?"
They're finally nearing Hugo's house, a giant building with a large yard, placed in the middle of the city.

"Well when I was growing up, my dad had a madsion, it was three stories, but we had a big family! They always had parties, and people going in and out." Alex pauses. "I hated it, when I was three I got lost in the actic."
Stella put her hand over her mouth to

"Lost? ahahah, you have nice lil stories."
She pause. "Then why come you were living on the streets,

Alex looks up at the house. "Man, thats big, guess you'll

Stella just sat there buged eyed. She pushed her hair back, and smacked Alex's hand lightly to let him know she didn't like what he said.

He quickly gets out of the car and opens Stella's door for her. Hugo sends a butler to tell the cook to make lunch, then leads them to the sitting room (I think the same room Stella and Hugo were discussing evil plots in in an earlier thread). He sits down. ((Believe it or not, on average, people married for the first
time LATER in the 1920s than in the 1950s. The mean age (from
a website I looked at) was about 21 years old for women; a few
years older for men. Which is not to say that some women didn't
marry at younger ages, but I think most upper-class women would
probably be out of their teens... Though the life expectancy WAS
less than it is today, even if you get married at 20 and live
to 40 or 50, that's plenty of time to raise kids.))
Hugo looks a bit annoyed at the young woman. She's just in her teens, and he still thinks of her as a child. The fact that she has very short hair and acts rather like a tomboy doesn't help. Right now she's wearing a short one-piece dress, but doesn't seem to have much thought for modesty; she walks almost like a man.
"Oh!" the girl says. "I didn't know you had company, Hugo!" She immediately approaches Alex, smiling broadly. "Hi! I'm Michelle."

Aren't they interesting? Sounds like the life expectancy in 1920 (once people got married) was at least 65. That's oversimplifying the data but I'm too lazy to elaborate (aside from the fact that infant mortality in the 1920s was higher than now so that's one of the reasons the average life expectancy was lower).))
