YarnKittymon: : ::there's a sign on the Freak
Show door that reads 'Shows cancelled today due to wedding. Very
sorry.'::
TilotheClown: jm: ::walks to building and reads
sign; taps on the door:: Hello?
YarnKittymon: LB: ::opens the door; she's dressed
in a rather formal, dark-colored dress:: Hello, Jasmine; good
morning.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::is sitting with Daniel,
wearing a fancyish dress in pale yellow and tossing a matching
hat up in the air, looking bored::
YarnKittymon: DN: ::rubs his face against Becky's
legs, getting fur on her dress, and purring::
TilotheClown: jm: Hi, I didn't know they were
getting married today.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::rubs Daniel's ears, not
bothering with the fur on her dress::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::nods; smirking:: Like I
said, I'm *very* sorry.
TilotheClown: jm: ::grins:: Come on, it's always
nice to have more family.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::grimaces:: So *you'd* like
to be related to Mr. Indigo and Alex? You may have them if you
wsh.
RGRIFFITHK: ER: ::walks up to the door wearing
a smart dress:: Morning everyone. Alisha said about the wedding,
what time does it start?
YarnKittymon: LB: Eleven. It's as though my
mother *wants* the show to fail. And it was doing a fine job of
that without *her* help.
TilotheClown: jm: ::smies at Libby's comment
an then turns to Erin:: Hi!
RGRIFFITHK: ER: ::looks embarrased:: I'm sorry
I've not had time for Freak Show lately, Libby. I hope my sister'
being of some help.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::sighs:: I'm sorry, Erin.
I've been rather unhappy lately, but it's not your fault. Thanks
for coming today.
RGRIFFITHK: ER: ::nods:: Hi Jasmine, how have
you been?
TilotheClown:
jm: Good and you?
RGRIFFITHK: ER: Not so bad.
YarnKittymon: LB: We'd best be leaving soon.
Mother didn't offer to send a taxi so we'll have to take the subway,
I'm afraid.
TilotheClown: jm: ::sighs:: All right...
Quantum Catz: BM: ::stands up:: Cya later, Dan
::brushes some of the fur off of her dress::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::smiles wryly:: Don't worry;
the subways *leaving* Coney Island on a Saturday morning will
be quite empty.
YarnKittymon: DN: ::mrrs:: I wanna go to a wedding.
TilotheClown: jm: ::blushes a little, but doesn't
say anything::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::chuckles:: It'll be really
boring, Dan, i promise
YarnKittymon: DN: ::mrrs again:: Then why are
all of you going?
Quantum Catz: BM: Cos you've got to go to these
things when it's your family - it's polite - and we're going to
keep Libby company
YarnKittymon: DN: ::grimaces:: I'm glad I don't
gotta be polite.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::goes to the door, silently::
TilotheClown: jm: ::follows::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::chuckles, then notices Libby
leaving:: Got to go now, Dan. Bye ::heads for the door as well::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::softly, as she locks the
door:: The proper thing to do is to bring *one* *male* guest,
but I can't even manage that...
TilotheClown: jm: ::smiles:: The three of us
should make up for it.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::smirks:: Besides, it's not
as though my mother's paying much attention to what's "proper,"
either. She's only after him for his money.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::sighs:: You don't know that,
Libby. Maybe she's changed
YarnKittymon: LB: ::looks almost astonished::
You're defending her...
Quantum Catz: BM: ::shrugs and looks away::
Buddhism is about compassion and kindess
TilotheClown: jm: ::reaches up to scratch her
head, but stops realising that she'd mess it up:: Well if she
*is* I could understand it; it's no fun being poor....
YarnKittymon: LB: ::nods soberly:: But I'd never
marry a *madman* for money...although I guess it doesn't matter
much...
Quantum Catz: BM: Poor i could handle. Living
with someone i didn't like, i couldn't
TilotheClown: jm: ::shrugs:: Maybe that's her
type?
YarnKittymon: LB: ::shrugs:: I'm not saying
she doesn't *like* him, though Lord only knows why she *would*...::shakes
her head, silently::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::buys everyone's passage
on the subway::
TilotheClown: jm: ::gets a spot by the window
so she can watch nothing pass by::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::sits across from Jasmine,
looking rather dejected::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::looks at Libby:: Are you
okay?
YarnKittymon: LB: ::half-smirks:: I'm not exactly
in the mood to attend a wedding today.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::looks down:: Guess not
YarnKittymon: LB: Well, it won't be much--Mother
just insists they be married by a priest.
YarnKittymon: ((That's assuming Fox allows that
of course, but I have trouble pinning Cleo down ^^;))
YarnKittymon: : ::the subway gets to their destination
pretty quickly::
TilotheClown: jm: ::stands:: At least there's
food afterwards, right? A welcome change from hotdogs.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::shakes her head:: It's a
small ceremony; there's no reception.
TilotheClown: jm: ::sighs:: Oh...::smiles again::
Then I guess you'll be happy that it's short right?
YarnKittymon: LB: ::smiles:: I guess there's
always something to be happy about.
TilotheClown: jm: ::grins:: Of course.
YarnKittymon: LB: Perhaps we can go out afterwards.
::heads down the street, towards the church (well, one of the
two) she goes to every Sunday::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::follows after her::
YarnKittymon: : ::pauses in front of an impressive-looking,
even imposing, Catholic church, complete with spires and domes;
it's at least 50 years old, and very large::
TilotheClown: jm: Maybe...::looks up at the
church:: So this is it?
YarnKittymon: LB: ::nods:: They'll probably
be in the chapel in the back. ::heads that way, through a nicely
landscaped yard, with statues of various saints arranged inside::
Quantum Catz: BM: It's a nice place
YarnKittymon: LB: I've been coming here since
I was small...
RGRIFFITHK: ER: ::follows behind trailing
her hand over everything she passes::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::goes into the smaller chapel-building,
looking rather nervous; there's several pews inside, with seating
for over 100::
TilotheClown: jm: ::looks a little nervous too,
and waits for Libby to tell them where to sit::
YarnKittymon: : ::there's no ushers; Libby pointedly
sits on the bride's side, near the back, hoping to escape the
notice of the other guests::
RGRIFFITHK: ER: ::sits down in the row behind
Libby::
YarnKittymon: : ::the ceremony starts without
incident, but suddenly Libby, Becky, Heather, and Jasmine all
find themselves in a poorly-lit speakeasy; Libby's holding a glass
of cheap champagne::
TilotheClown: jm: ::blinks:: That was
a short ceremony...
YarnKittymon: LB: ::it's unclear if she's very
drunk yet or not:: Not much of a reception either.
Quantum Catz: BM: What're we doing here anyway?
YarnKittymon: LB: ::drinks half the champagne::
Getting fried.
Quantum Catz: BM: ::sighs:: Right
YarnKittymon: LB: ::checks her purse:: I have
plenty of money if you want something.
RGRIFFITHK: ER: ::leaves briefly and returns
with a glass of orange juice. Sits down slightly apart from the
others::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::glances at Erin:: That have
vodka in it?
Quantum Catz: BM: ::looks at libby:: Why should
it?
RGRIFFITHK: ER: ::raises her eyebrows slightly
and downs the juice:: Nope but the next one will if you're buying.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::half-smiles:: If you'd like,
though I guess you haven't such a reason to drink. ::glances back
at Jasmine:: What about you?
TilotheClown: jm: ::grins:: I'd love one.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::stops a waitress:: Gimme
another one of these, and whatever those two pretty ladies want.
Becky?
Quantum Catz: BM: Alcohol doesn't have much
of an affect on me - i think i might just go home to Dan
YarnKittymon: LB: ::blinks:: They have hard
liquor here.
Quantum Catz: BM: I don't much like not being
in control of myself anyway - and that's what alcohol does, really
YarnKittymon: LB: But it makes you forget for
a while...::looks down; takes the glass of champagne the waitress
delivers, looking down at it:: You take all the fun out of it.
Quantum Catz: BM: Sorry...i'm gonna go home
TilotheClown: jm: ::quietly takes a sip of her
drink::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::downs the champagne in one
motion, then sets the glass down, pulling out some money; quietly::
I might as well go with you.
RGRIFFITHK: ER: ::looks at Jasmine inquiringly::
You staying?
Quantum Catz:
BM: If you want to stay, libby, you can, i'm not gonna stop you
TilotheClown: jm: Just until I finish my drink.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::looks at Erin and Jasmine,
rather sadly; speaks with a bit of a German accent:: I'm sorry
I wasn't...much fun today...
Quantum Catz: ((what's with the german accent?))
YarnKittymon: ((She had a bit of a German accent
when she was very little (which she picked up from her mother,
who still has hers)--it only comes out when she's inebriated))
Quantum Catz: BM: It's okay Libby
TilotheClown: jm: That's all right.
RGRIFFITHK: ER: ::shakes her head then walks
towards the door::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::softly:: Have th' show tomorrow
anyway...und don't want to be hung over...
Quantum Catz: BM: Come on, Libby - let's got
home - you've probably had enough to drink
YarnKittymon: LB: ::softly:: Yeah. I'm sorry.
Quantum Catz: BM: It's okay. Come on
YarnKittymon: LB: ::very quietly:: I love you
so much...you and Jasmine too...
Quantum Catz: BM: ::smiles weakly:: I love you
too, Libby
TilotheClown: jm: ::laughs at Libby's amendment::
Thanks ::swallows the rest of her drink:: I guess I'd better go
too.
YarnKittymon: LB: ::smiles at Becky and Jasmine
both, then walks back towards the subway, fairly steadily::
Quantum Catz: BM: ::walks along with libby,
looking out for her::
YarnKittymon: LB: ::is revived by the fresh
air, and sobers quickly enough::
